Travelling to Cardiff

From Cardiff Airport:

You can fly to Cardiff Airport (www.cwlfly.com) Cardiff International offers over 50 direct destinations, and over 400 worldwide connecting flights. The airport is served by scheduled, low-fare, business and charter carriers, and also supports corporate and general aviation. The airport is also known as Cardiff-Wales or Rhoose Airport, after the village nearest to the airport. Cardiff airport is about 12 miles (19 km) from Cardiff Central and is easily accessible by private taxi, coach and train. You can book a taxi in the arrivals hall direct to your accommodation from £30 to £70 dependant on the vehicle size, or choose to travel by National Express (www.nationalexpress.com) to Cardiff Central.

From Bristol Airport:

You can fly to Bristol Airport from Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Corsica, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Netherlands, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Sardinia, Spain, Spanish Balearic Islands, Switzerland and Turkey. Bristol airport is about 50 miles (81 km) from Cardiff and is easily accessible by private taxi, coach and train.

From Heathrow Airport, London:

The easiest way is by direct National Express coach from the Airport to Cardiff. The journey takes about 3 hours and the coaches leave the Airport every two hours or so.

Megabus also operates a cheap daily coach service from the centre of London (Greenline Station, near Victoria) to Cardiff. Prices begin from £1.50! (You must book in advance at http://www.megabus.com/uk/)

By train you must first travel to Paddington (by Heathrow Express) and then take the train to Cardiff. There are trains every half hour from London Paddington to Cardiff Central. You can book your tickets on Train tickets online

From Gatwick Airport, London:

There are regular National Express coaches but it is necessary to change at Heathrow Airport. On the train you must make one change at Reading.

From Central London:

There are direct National Express coaches from Victoria Station and direct trains from Paddington Station.

OUR LOCATION

We are right above the Co-operative Bank, on the corner of High Street and Church Street.  Above the door it reads Oliver House.  Come up to the Second Floor.  If in any doubt please ring 029 2022 6047 and somebody will meet you on the High Street. The Bus stop is a few doors away from the Academy!

As you can see from the map we are near all public transport, restaurants, hotels, shopping centres, sports facilities and tourist attractions.  The bus service in Cardiff is regular and it does not take long to get in and out of the city centre.

 

AIRPORT PICK UP / DROP OFF SERVICE ARRANGED BY US

CMLA arranges a private airport pick up and drop off service to and from all major UK airports including (one way):

·         Heathrow (£180)

·         Stanstead (£200)

·         Gatwick (£230)

·         Bristol (£90)

·         Cardiff (£50)

·         Birmingham (£200)

Our experienced taxi-driver will be waiting for you at airport arrivals with a card reading your name. He will then take you directly to your accommodation. If you miss the driver, please go to the Information Desk and have your name announced.

When booking an airport pick up or drop off you must ensure CMLA has your correct airport name, arrival date, arrival time and terminal.

Extra charges for airport transfer will incur if there is a flight delay or unforeseen circumstances, which result in the driver waiting longer than originally anticipated. The extra charge per waiting time is £5 per 30 minutes. All airport transfer prices by CMLA taxi include Bridge toll charges and one hour waiting time in the car park and airport arrivals. Anything extra will be charged.
