This course is ideal for Students who wish to improve their all-round general English. The Cambridge PET certificate is recognised by employers in many countries, and recognised by universities in some countries as an initial qualification in English

You will need a pre-intermediate to intermediate level of English to join this course. It is designed for people with a wider range of vocabulary, who are able to hold longer conversations on familiar topics, and write simple letters or notes.

Studying for PET will improve practical English skills where regular contact with English speakers is required so you can:

Learn how to speak with more confidence
Widen your vocabulary
Improve your grammar
Develop your speaking and listening skills
Write short letters and texts

What does the exam involve?

PET has three papers:

PAPER 1: Reading and Writing
PAPER 2: Listening
PAPER 3: Speaking
