Accommodation

Home-stay

This is a rented bedroom in a private house secured via CMLA with an English speaking host family, in or around the City of Cardiff. The host family will also live in the house. You will have to adapt your lifestyle to fit in with theirs and respect the customs of the household. We inspect all hosts regularly to assure that our expected high standards are being upheld for the student.

Accommodation:

Single room with bed, breakfast & dinner (Monday to Friday) and a light lunch is also added on weekends. We make every possible effort to match your specific requirement to the circumstances and wishes of the host. Please remember all hosts are subject to availability and we cannot promise a host close to our premises. Our hosts are usually one bus or train ride from the academy, no longer than a 40 minute journey.

Renting

When you rent a property in the UK you are required to sign a tenancy agreement. It is essential that you must read and understand any documents before you sign them. Ask the landlord or letting agents to explain anything you do not understand.

The tenancy agreement can be anything from 6 months onwards. It’s quite unusual to find an agreement for less than 12 months.

CMLA does not find rented accommodation for its students but will be able to help in terms of references, proof of study and assisting in understanding the tenancy agreement.
